With 5500 road accident injuries and 1800 deaths last year, Road Safety remains one of the key challenges of the kingdom. Aware of the urgent need to raise awareness on « Road Safety », Total Cambodge and its partners team up to widespread the message through a national “Safe Driving” campaign. Safety is a shared responsibility; the private sector has a key role to play in reducing the number of road traffic accidents among its employees, its customers… and among all road users.

Bringing a lasting change in driver behaviors is the ambition of the 2nd edition of the “Safe Driving” campaign from 5th to 11th November, 2018 under the guidance of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, National Road Safety Committee.

During all the week, various awareness activities will be conducted: quiz, interactive games, Safety Cube for kids, video spots, vision check, in more than 20 places (at 20 Total Stations and others). The basics of road safety will be highlighted as well as best practices, such as helmet wearing, seat belts, speeding, cell phone use while driving, drunk driving, appropriate vision for safe driving etc. Thousands of people will be reached out in 14 cities and provinces during this week.

“As a player in the mobility sector, Total Cambodge has been promoting Road Safety along with Sipar since 2013, raising awareness among more than 5300 Cambodians last year,” said Mr Asif Iqbal, Managing Director of Total Cambodge.

As the “Safe Driving” campaigns enable to widespread the message more widely, Total Cambodge and partners invite more partners to join their efforts for the years to come, in order to be all united under the same banner “Let’s All Go Home Safely”.
